Parking

St. Demetrios has several  large parking lots, with entrances on each side of the church.  There are popular days where the church's parking lots fill.  On those occasions, there is some parking on the surrounding streets & ample parking spaces at Holiday Park.

Entering the Church:

Simply come in and take in the beauty and peace of the church. You will experience, the faithful entering the church first light a candle. Lighting candles is a prayerful moment for your loved ones and yourself. It is customary do your cross after your prayer and to venerate (kiss and/or kneel) the icons in the narthex (entrance) of the church. You then enter the nave where you will witness the domed architecture, vast iconography, and the traditional Orthodox altar. Feel free to introduce yourself to a parish council member or usher at the narthex and they will gladly answer any of your questions.

Attire:

During services, we try to wear clothing that is dignified and shows respect to God. In all areas of our lives we should offer Christ our best, and the same is true of our dress. Revealing clothing or shirts with large words or logos emblazoned on have the potential to catch someone’s attention and distract them from prayer.
